So since the film Guardians of the Galaxy went over the theatres - old Marvel Legends toys such as this went sale for about half it's SRP. And here
your friendly-neighbourhood blogger and collector takes the opportunity to grab one of these old figure of Drax the Destroyer. Before we move on I did
a little background check on who is Drax anyway? No, not the movie version but the comic version Drax. Arthur Douglas also known as Drax is actually
a human whose family was attacked by Thanos. So, In need of a champion to battle Thanos - Kronos (an entity whose merged with the time and universe)
took Arthur's spirit and placed in a new body. Just a brief background check on who is Drax.
Let us begin, Hasbro's first version of Drax is based on the comic book appearance itself. So expect nothing but Drax, Two Knives and Arnim Zola's left leg. No he didn't
cut that it's a Build-a-Figure part.
Drax' original design is yes as green as the Hulk wearing blue pants that I think was the original Guardians of the Galaxy Uniform Pants - With two knife holster at his back.
And of course he is bald with Red Tribal like linings.
Well probably this is one of the accurate ROML figures I have seen since Drax really has less details. The two knives are made of soft rubbers
that it gets deformed every time it is sheathed at his back. As of today Hasbro still use soft rubber like plastics and hope they soon changed it since figure wise it aint good.
Articulation is not bad, it was highly pose-able and no threat of parts that would actually limits it's movement.
The thing though, He looks a lot slimmer than what he should be. Not comparing to the new Drax figure, he does look slimmer imagining that he is called a destroyer.
Drax meets the New Starlord.
But ignores it...
