Unlike some places in this planet, in my country Toys like this comes in late, sometimes it takes months but mostly some independent sellers try their best
to bring it here. So, one of my habit everytime I get off the office is to walk around 4 malls and visit some stores. And for my luck, I was able to find 3 figures
of this series. Although I no longer took the other two because they were much expensive and the BAF part was already taken away so I don't see why
the value was so high. And for my luck I found the last stock of this Star Lord figure in one of the stores. You know Star Lord, the legendary outlaw?
So at first, let see what we have inside the box. I'll no longer post a picture of the box since almost all of Hasbro's
new release has the same package with different colour variant. For this series the package was in violet.
Let's zoom in a little bit, so here we see Groots Left Arm, The yellow thing - I think that was supposed to be a walkman of some sort, if you don't
know what a walkman is. It's a similar item with todays mp3's and ipods exept it uses cassette tapes instead of digital copies of the song., A pair
of headsets, Peter Quill Head Unmasked - I can't see any resembalnce to Chriss Pratt, do you?, and that circular metal ball thingy which I have no idea
what it is - I saw it over the Guardians of the Galaxy Trailers but still I want to know what it is and lastly you get Star Lord figure masked with 2
laser guns.
Design - Assuming this was Star Lords costume over the movies, I was actually wondering why I kept seeing a jacket in the trailer instead of this one
who is wearing a red coat. All the other details are good though except for the Peter Quill ehad who looks like he lost on a gamble or something. The sling
bag was cool though.
Except for one thing, why didn't they copied the original Star Lord costume? The blue one, well both probably looks fine but this one has a large
similarity with Wildcats Grifter.
Next is this pretty neat earphones and that yellow thing that I pretty much believe is a walkman.
or a time bomb thing? can someone help me identify this one. Hoping I could get to see what that is over the movie. -_-
Articulation - last is the articualtion. You would think that from all those visible koints he would be highly poseable. Well you are wrong, yes wrong.
The large coat all over limits his movement. And the elbow joints are made from a softer rubber joint which seems to be a little fragile. Is he worth getting?
Yes, regardless if you already have the old Star Lord figure you might still want to have these one sicne it looks pretty different and was a good
customization figure for any trench coated characters. Groot - and yes unlike the previous Hasbro ML's this one doesn't have alternate figures so the only
thing you can do is buy each to build Groot.
Bonus: Star Lord + Winter Soldier's Head = Bon Jovi XD
